Dr. Simone Hampton has dedicated her entire career to serving the people of Champaign-Urbana, first with Frances Nelson Health Center then with Carle Health. Her passion for providing prenatal and obstetric care in a holistic manner with a focus on preventing chronic disease has led to a fundamental frustration with the current state of healthcare. She founded Familia First Health so she could continue to provide prenatal and obstetric care in this community and care for the underserved families of this community with a focus on improving wellness instead of managing illness.

Dr Erika McLean has 18 years experience as a Pediatrician with a focus on caring for children in underserved communities, in both the clinic and hospital setting. She is originally from Buffalo, NY, where she did her residency at the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, then moved to Illinois 5 years ago to work at Carle Foundation Hospital. Dr McLean plans to take on an administrative role at Familia First Health to maintain high standards of ethical leadership and a culture of respect and inclusivity.

Carrie has been working with underserved populations in the Champaign-Urbana community for the past 16 years, first as a community outreach worker and then as a medical case manager. She became frustrated with the lack of Primary Care clinicians in the community and returned to school to become a Physician Assistant with the intention of serving where she was needed most. She worked at Promise Healthcare for 3 years prior to founding Familia First Health.
